Journchat – an ongoing conversation
Last night I discovered another great opportunity for PR Practitioner’s, Journchat. Journchat, started by Sarah Evans is a weekly conversation via Twitter between journalists, bloggers and PR folks. The chat takes place on Monday nights from 7-10 p.m. CST. Here’s a sample of some of the questions discussed on Dec. 22:
- What are the list of questions PR people should ask themselves before sending their press releases?
- What trends or issues are important to reporters & bloggers right now?
- How do journalists feel about “eyewitness” vs. “citizen journalism”?
- What do you think needs to change in the PR industry as a whole?
As you can see Journchat is a great online tool for PR pros to learn from others. Check it out by using Twitter’s search tool, Tweetdeck, or Tweetchat. If you are using a Twitter search function, use the hashtag #journchat to follow the conversation. If you are using Tweetchat, go to the chat room #journchat to follow the action.
For more information on how to participate and recaps of previous chats, check out Journchat’s official Web site.
